Southeastern Anglers is a professional fly fishing outfitter. We offer a high quality guided flyfishing experience, equaled by no other. Our base of operation is Reliance, Tennessee located in Polk County in the southeast corner of the state.

Southeastern Anglers offers guided float trips using Clackacraft drift boats. They are the Cadillacs of the river, and the best way to fly fish in first class comfort. We also offer wade fishing trips for those that prefer getting in the water.

All Guided trips feature experienced, professional fly fishing guides, top of the line boats and equipment that are well maintained, deluxe shore lunch, drinks and snacks. If your fishing partner is not a competent fly caster, we can do a fine job with light spinning tackle.

.We specialize in custom packages, tailoring your experience to your desires. We can put together packages including lodging and dinner. Please call for details. Let us know what you want.

The USFS does not allow alcohol on the river, but many a fish tales have been told over an evening cocktail once the boats are stowed. Upon receipt of your deposit, you will be sent a list of items to bring, and we will discuss your expectations for the trip.

Hiwassee River

The Hiwassee River is unquestionably the best trout fishery in the southeast, and quite possibly the best dry fly river in the eastern U.S. The Hiwassee River boast many many major insect hatches for fly fishing which include sulphurs, BWO's, and the famed isonychia bicolor.

The Historic Tellico River Basin

The Tellico River is one of the largest natural trout streams in the southeast. It is a wade fisherman's paradise with miles and miles of boulder strewn pocket water, shallow riffles, swift runs, and deep black pools. The Tellico supports healty populations of wild and stocked rainbow and brown trout, as well as smallmouth bass in the lower sections.

The North River and Bald River are back country destinations offering pristine habitat for wild trout, including rainbows, browns, and native brook trout.

The Holston River is one of our up and coming destinations. We've been very pleased with the Holston's possibilities.

The Clinch River, another popular tailwater fishery requiring small flies on very light tippets to above average fish.

The Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam near the Tennessee-Kentucky border. A fine trophy trout fishery!

The Toccoa River, in northcentral Georgia is a popular spring time destination.

Fly fishing the Hiwassee River in Reliance, Tennessee - the Hiwassee River offers world-class fly fishing in this tailwater river.
